Turn off your cell phone and soak up the incredible ambiance of the Martin County shore. Miles and miles of peaceful beaches, beautiful water and natural sand dunes await you, from Hobe Sound to Jensen Beach with hundreds more in between. And don’t forget about “surfishing”, a favorite pastime that’s easy for the whole family to learn!

For hikers and bikers alike, our natural Florida terrain teems with ocean side and lakeside trails as well as preserved woodlands and wildlife parks. Fishing enthusiasts can enjoy world-class fishing within just a 10-mile radius of our St. Lucie Inlet! And whether by power or sail, you can explore our scenic waterways, including coves, islands, Lake Okeechobee and the renowned Indian River Lagoon, whose unique tidal basin is home to dolphins, manatees, brown pelicans and other protected species. You can also horseback ride, bird watch or just relax at one of our many parks and beaches.

ALLAPATTAH FLATS TRAIL
Allapattah Flats Trail is a passive recreation area featuring parking facilities and a nature trail which also provides opportunities for hiking, biking and primitive camping. This area provides seasonal hunting and will allow for equestrian trails along the northern perimeter of the project. This site is a cooperative effort of the Martin County Board of County Commissioners, the South Florida Water Management District and the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission. Driving directions – From I-95: Take exit 110/CR 714 (Martin Hwy) and travel west approximately 3 miles. The entrance is located along the northern perimeter of the project.

BLOWING ROCKS PERSERVE
A barrier island sanctuary with native habitats, Anastasia limestone rock formations, a boardwalk along the Indian River Lagoon, nature trails, a native plant/butterfly garden, and education center with rotating exhibits.

HALPATIOKEE REGIONAL PARK
180-acre park with five football/soccer fields, ten tennis courts, a playground, a covered skating rink and miles of trails.

INDIAN RIVERSIDE PARK
Facilities at the park include Fishing Access/Fishing Pier, ADA Access, Picnic Site/Restrooms, Dockside Pavilion and an interactive water play area.

JONATHAN DICKINSON STATE PARK
Close to 11,500 acres of land and river await the visitor to Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Teeming with wildlife, the park offers camping, canoeing, hiking and bicycling, picnicking, fresh and saltwater fishing and guided tours of the Loxahatchee River.
